LORD, INCREASE OUR FAITH. You can do what you believe are the right things and still not be pleasing God because you are not doing it by Faith.
The description of "Faith" is found in Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." But how do we increase it? God builds our faith by putting it to the test. Every day we have faith building opportunities when we experience trials, pressures and problems that come our way. God tests our faith through difficulties, demands and delays. We get in a hurry for everything - no one likes to wait. And if every prayer were answered immediately, or if every need was automatically met and problems solved, we wouldn't need faith. God uses those circumstances to develop our faith and mold our character to be more like Jesus.
Even Jesus' disciples asked Him to help them increase their faith. Shouldn't we do the same?
